Jewish Tour in Buenos Aires with Salito Gutt

We had a delightful four hour tour with Salito Gutt in Buenos Aires who was full of stories of his family and his life in BA.

We visited the site of the bombing of the Israeli Embassy in 1992 and the AMIA (sort of like a JCC and Federation) organization that promotes growth of Jewish life in Argentina for all ages), which was also bombed in 1994, as well as the oldest synagogue and the area where the Jewish immigrants first arrived. Salito regaled us with stories of how Eastern European and Russian Jews came to Argentina and how many were initially forced to farm.

In any case, just listening to the stories were well worth it.
