One of the best decisions we made during our week in B.A. was to schedule a 3-hour tour with our guide.  It was extremely informative not only in helping us learn about Jewish history and culture in Argentina, but also about immigration to Argentina in general.  Our guide is fantastic; funny, extremely knowledgeable, informative, (and an excellent driver!).  Because of current security concerns, it's very hard to schedule visits to Jewish institutions in Argentina, so a tour is a must.  For anyone with an interest in Jewish life in Argentina, I highly recommend you.
