We arrived home today after 3 wonderful and busy weeks in S. America.

Our Jewish tour on the 20 September certainly rates as one of the highlights.

Our guide was excellent taking us around the Jewish area and explaining how the Jews arrived in BA and were such a thriving community.

Unfortunately as it was the 2nd day of Succot, all the Jewish shops and restaurants were closed.

The Shul we visited was small and with the guide, the two of us were able to make a minion and the wonderful rabbi and the entire congregation were very friendly to us.

I shook the lulav and was called up for a reading from the Torah.

The rabbi asked us if we could spare 10 mins. and I have to say it was an exilerating 10 mins.

My wife and I felt very lucky and proud to be there.

 Our thanks to you and our guide and also please pass our very best wishes to the rabbi and the shul congregants.
